Association of Churches for Emergency Outreach (ACEO)

Home Communion

Are you unable to come to worship services (either on a temporary or a long term basis) and participate in receiving the sacrament? Please contact the church office if you or someone you know are aware of a Bethany member that would like to receive the sacrament in their home, hospital, nursing home, assisted living residence, etc.

Kinship of Rice Lake & Cameron

WHO MENTORED YOU? When you were growing up was there a teacher, coach or family friend that took an interest in developing your skills or a hobby or encouraged you. That person may have been a mentor to you. In real life, not all youth have the opportunity to build a healthy, trusting and supportive mentoring relationship. This is when Kinship is there to provide the structure for mentoring a youth. For more information, contact Kinship at 715-234-1995 or visit their website.

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan

Please visit their website for more information on their services.

Call the church office to sign up. This service has been temporarily suspended due to COVID restrictions.

Prayer Ministry

One of the great privileges and ministries listed in the New Testament is the opportunity to remember one another in prayer - to "bear one another's burdens." To help us in the ministry, Bethany has a Prayer Chain to which requests for specific prayers may be made. Prayer requests should come to the church office and all requests are confidential. To submit a request, please call the office at 715-234-9028 or fill out the prayer request form on the right.

Prayer Shawls

The Prayer Shawl Cabinet is available in the Narthex at all times. You may help yourself!

The Prayer Shawl Ministry began in 1998 as a grass-roots movement. It has grown into an international cause, with countless numbers of shawls given to grateful recipients. Shawls are prayed over as they are knit or crocheted. The recipient receives their shawl full of prayers, love and encouragement. At Bethany, this has grown beyond Prayer Shawls to Baptismal blankets, Pocket Prayer Squares and other projects.

These shawls will be used as a means of bringing God’s love, comfort and peace to those in need. Think of it as a "hug" from God. Examples of those receiving them would be people with long-term illness, those going through cancer treatment, the home-bound, etc.
